Board adopts 2025–26 LCAP; receives LCFF local indicators

The Eureka Union Board of Trustees approved the district’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) for 2025–26 after staff presented the plan and said the required public hearing had been conducted the prior Tuesday.
Gina, a district presenter, introduced the plan and asked the board to adopt it as presented. Trustee Renee moved to approve the LCAP and Matt seconded; the board voted in favor.
Staff also presented the LCFF local indicators — a required self-rating and narrative that accompanies the LCAP under state law — and described them as an informational item that will be posted on the California Dashboard alongside state indicators. Staff said the indicators and narratives will reflect the district’s self-evaluation and, after the board’s approval, will appear on the public dashboard.
No members of the public addressed the board during the public-comment period on the topic. The board recorded the approval and moved on to other budget and fiscal items on the agenda.
