Permits, site-plan review and cemetery appointment on Pembroke board agenda; AED purchases discussed

Zoning and personnel matters were part of the Pembroke Town Board meeting on Feb. 13.
Zoning Officer Jim Wolbert reported four new building permits issued in January, including one for the Town Highway Garage; the department issued five Certificates of Compliance and one Certificate of Occupancy. Wolbert said a complaint about a trailer occupant was resolved after the trailer was removed, and that several structures on a Genesee Street property operating an animal business will require a site-plan review.
The board also reviewed applicants for the Planning Board; five people expressed interest and interviews were scheduled for March. On personnel, the minutes record that town employees Adam Schafer and Kathy Gallaway expressed interest in the cemetery caretaker position; the board approved Resolution #12 appointing Kathy Gallaway, citing her weekday availability to assist with burials.
Supervisor Schneider reported he had ordered two automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and might order a third so each office building and the Community Center would be equipped. The board approved the cemetery appointment unanimously and recorded no objections regarding zoning or permit actions in the minutes.
