President Lucari introduced a campus spotlight on the College of Business. In remarks presented to the board, the dean and a college representative described the college’s recent international accreditation and growth.
The presentation noted the college earned AECSB/AACSB accreditation (a distinction held by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide), cited a 37% growth in enrollment and the launch of new concentrations in artificial intelligence, banking, business analytics, hospitality management, HR and real estate. Speakers highlighted student experiential learning: a student team manages a $600,000 investment portfolio, IRS‑certified students assisted more than 250 local families with tax filings, and student research participation increased with dozens of students presenting at conferences.
Trustees congratulated the college on the accreditation and praised the faculty and staff for long‑term investments in student success.
Why it matters: AACSB/A ECSB accreditation is a recognized marker of business program quality that can affect employer perceptions, student recruitment, and donor interest.
Next steps: College leaders said they will continue building student research, experiential opportunities and a planned entrepreneurship center to seed local business growth.
