The Silver Lake Regional School Committee voted to enact a new leadership slate and fill subcommittee posts during its reorganizational section of the meeting.
The superintendent nominated a slate with Gordon for chair, Amy Courtright for vice chair, Lucas for secretary and Mark for assistant treasurer; the motion was seconded and approved. Amy Courtright then presided over the meeting in Gordon's place.
Committee members also volunteered or were appointed to standing subcommittees including admin review, negotiations, policy, CTE, SAFER and PAC. For example, the admin review team was set to include Megan Cannon, Amy Courtright and Peter Chris Jones, with an identified alternate. Jason Frasier was nominated to continue as the legislative agent and later had his title amended to "legislative and municipal liaison" to formalize municipal outreach responsibilities.
The reorganization sets the committee's leadership and committee assignments for the coming year and positions members to begin work on capital, contract and curriculum priorities. The motions carried without recorded opposition.
The committee moved on to routine correspondence and the rest of its agenda after completing the reorganization.
