EMS reports on training, CPR kit grant request and youth first‑aid drive

The squad attended a Rutgers‑affiliated training designed to help first responders engage people after opioid reversals and has found the curriculum useful. The squad also demonstrated new and improved CPR mannequins and said it runs multiple community CPR classes each year.
To expand training capacity, the squad asked for help pursuing a $1,600 grant to buy a six‑pack CPR mannequin kit. "We're looking to try and generate a grant for $1,600 for the kit," the EMS representative said.
The board also noted youth cadet Varshaa has started a fundraising drive to buy roughly 50 first‑aid kits to distribute on EMS calls to households lacking basic supplies.
The chair thanked the squad and the board encouraged continued outreach and coordination with parks and recreation and the fire company for senior assistance programs.
