Board approves multiple policy revisions and the consent agenda

At its Nov. 17 meeting the board moved, seconded, and approved a series of policy changes and the meeting’s consent agenda.
Motions included approval of revisions to policies AD (school district mission) and ADD (safe schools) and approval of revisions to FB (facilities planning) with repeal of FA (facilities development goals). The board also approved revisions to a suite of section J policies and the repeal of policies JIE through JIG. Each motion was moved and seconded and carried on roll call by the members present.
Miss Upurch moved the first motion to approve AD and ADD revisions; a second was made and the board voted in favor with roll‑call acknowledgements from members present. Later motions to approve FB revisions and repeal FA, to approve the section J revisions and repeal JIE–JIG, and to approve the consent agenda were likewise moved, seconded, and approved.

What’s next: Revised policies will appear in board documents and be administered going forward; several first readings on other policies were presented earlier in the meeting and will return for the new board in December.
