At the start of its June 10 meeting, the San Mateo Ability and Infrastructure Commission held a ceremonial recognition for former Commissioner Cliff Robbins and later elected new leadership.
Commissioners and Mayor Adam Lorraine offered remarks praising Robbins for his service on multiple commissions and his mentorship to newer commissioners. Robbins accepted the recognition and thanked staff and colleagues: "It really has been an honor and a pleasure to be a commissioner," he said.
In new business, the commission followed council rules for electing officers and proceeded with nominations. A motion to elect Commissioner Cray as chair and Commissioner Renault as vice chair passed on roll call with four yes votes and one abstention (Commissioner Lee). After the vote Vice Chair Cray took over as chair and continued the meeting.
The commission also approved the meeting consent calendar (May 13 minutes) earlier in the session; that motion passed by roll call with one abstention recorded.
