Chester County Council voted 2–4 on May 18 to deny a rezoning request for approximately 2 acres at 1143 Coleman Drive.
Mitchell J. Campbell’s request (CCMA26-03) to rezone Tax Map #090-00-00-007-000 from Rural Two (R2) to Limited Commercial (LC) was considered after the Planning Commission recommended denial by a 5-0 vote. Councilman William Killian moved to approve the rezoning, and Councilman Corey Guy seconded the motion. The motion failed 2-4. The minutes record that Chairman Pete Wilson, Vice Chairwoman Erin Mosley, Councilman Bobby Raines and Councilman Roy Brunson opposed the rezoning; Killian and Guy voted in favor.
No amendment or alternative motion to refer the request back to staff or the Planning Commission was recorded in the minutes. The application therefore remains denied as presented; any resubmittal or modification would be a separate future action.
