Rothschild board moves into closed session, reconvenes with no action

On July 8 the Village of Rothschild board voted to adjourn to closed session under Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate negotiations related to purchasing and selling public property and related investment or bargaining matters.
The motion to adjourn to closed session was made by Bill Schremp and seconded by Rex Zemke and passed on a roll-call vote with each of the seven members—Deb Ehster, Dan Mortensen, Sam Stroik, Dan Helgeson, Bill Schremp, Rex Zemke and Village President George Peterson—recorded as "Aye." The board reconvened in open session at 7:59 p.m. on a subsequent motion by Rex Zemke, seconded by Dan Helgeson; questioned and carried 7-0. The minutes state no action was taken as a result of the closed session.
The board then adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
