Merrimac GAC readies resident survey, coordinates outreach and event participation

At its April 20 meeting the Merrimac Green Advisory Committee confirmed a resident survey is ready to launch once a promotional flyer is completed by absent member Andy Toomey and discussed steps to distribute it in the community.
Member Kendra Bowker said the survey is ready to go once Andy finishes the flyer; she and other members agreed they could distribute printed flyers at the library, senior center and local coffee shops. Liaison Ed Davis said he would ask Mary to post the online survey in coordination with the May 1 electric bills if the flyer is completed in time.
Members also discussed the Merrimac 150 anniversary planned for September. Rob Gustison invited the committee to participate but members suggested waiting for survey results to inform event participation and outreach plans. The committee briefly noted a related promotional campaign by Homeworks; promotion was deferred until Homeworks supplies more information.
The committee approved the March 23 minutes and the meeting agenda at the start of the session and set a tentative next meeting for May 18, 6:30–8 p.m., at the Merrimac Police Department with a Zoom option.
