County recognizes local business for restoring vandalized Miracle League field at Mike Miller Park

Marshall County Fiscal Court on June 9 publicly recognized Premier Disaster Restoration and Cleaning for volunteer restoration work at the Miracle League of Western Kentucky field in Mike Miller Park after vandals damaged the playing surface and entry.
Mr. Pagel described February vandalism that damaged a soldier statue at Veterans Plaza and, more seriously, the Miracle League field where vandals skidded ATV tires on the synthetic surface and dug out the entrance. Mr. Pagel said Premier Disaster Restoration and Cleaning's owner, Steven (Stephen) Alexander, offered to clean and restore the entire field and entry at no charge to the county and that crews restored the surface "an inch at a time" to prepare it for the season's first pitch.
The fiscal court presented a framed recognition reading, in part: "Marshall County Fiscal Court hereby recognizes Premier Disaster Restoration and Cleaning for the love, generosity, and dedication demonstrated when restoring the vandalized Miracle League of Western Kentucky Field." The court also displayed photos and video of the restoration work.
The court thanked the contractor and noted the work ensured the field was ready for play. No formal vote or expenditure was recorded for the restoration; the presenter said the company provided the work at no charge to the county.
