Beaver County commissioners approve 21 resolutions, reappoint workforce board members and honor Paula Dorish

The board then moved to reappoint six individuals to the Southwest Corner Workforce Development Board for two-year terms commencing Aug. 1, 2026 and expiring July 31, 2028; the named appointees were Hillary Baker, Lori Colao, James Fitzgerald, Lakesha Horn, Andrew Orwig and Sam Watkins.
The county solicitor told the board that resolutions 061126-01 through 061126-21 were on the agenda and that the narrative descriptions on the public-facing agenda were incorrect; the solicitor said the items had been reviewed by the law department and recommended approval. The board voted its approval by voice on the solicitor-corrected motions.
Commissioners also approved a proclamation congratulating and thanking Paula Dorish for 49 years of public service to the City of Beaver Falls; a motion to approve the proclamation was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
