He listed several pieces of apparatus serviced year‑to‑date and said the rescue unit is scheduled for service in May. He characterized the department’s budget as “on target so far.”
The updates followed earlier remarks from Safety Officer Peter Morra that the department’s Standard Operating Guidelines are being revised; Chief Dixon reiterated that work and said the SOG rewrite is expected to be completed by summer.
The commission did not take any formal votes related to apparatus procurement at the meeting; the chief described ongoing communications with Firematic management as part of the delivery process. The commission scheduled its next regular meeting for April 24, 2023.
