Fiscal business included the treasurer's presentation of May financials. The board moved to approve bills as presented; the board recorded a unanimous motion to pay the bills.
Patrick, presenting on food service, recommended modest price adjustments to avoid larger future increases as staff pay and other costs rise. "We're trying to work to get our milk costs down a little bit," he said, and recommended a small per-meal increase that staff estimated would yield roughly $11,000$12,000 in additional income when combined with state and federal reimbursements. The board moved to accept the food-price recommendation and approved it during the meeting.
Policy updates prepared by KSB reflecting legislative changes, including handbook language on AI use and updates affecting suspension and transfer-credit language, were reviewed and adopted by the board. The board also approved the student-fee handbook for 2026-27 and asked staff to ensure fee amounts are more clearly communicated to families via newsletters and the website.
Outcome: motions on minivan disposition, bills, meal prices, policy updates and the student-fee handbook were approved; staff will improve parent communication on fee specifics and finalize remaining handbook edits at the July meeting.
