“The program is available for customers who are on medical baseline program and who live in high fire risk areas,” Ernesto said, adding that medical baseline applicants must provide physician documentation to confirm eligibility. He encouraged residents who rely on electrically powered medical devices to check SCE’s eligibility matrix online and to apply.
SCE staff also described community resource facilities and the service center’s role in responding to outages; the presenter noted the local service center employs roughly 250 professionals and is positioned for quick response to infrastructure damage. Staff said customers can visit se.com to check program qualifications and noted that the self‑generation incentive was allocated for the current year but will reopen in future cycles.
Council members thanked SCE for the presentation and encouraged residents with medical needs or those in high‑fire areas to pursue available rebates and enrollment in medical baseline programs. Ernesto said he would remain after the meeting to distribute printed materials and answer questions.
