Speaker 3, who addressed several of the contractor and partner contributions, thanked Phil and the project team and said the park is "unique," adding that construction "was a lot of work" and that partners such as Cloverdale City had been "incredibly brave" to take on a preserve of this size.
Speakers also noted that the opening coincided with National Trails Day, a timing several said made the ceremony especially apt for unveiling new trails and public access.
Organizers offered no vote or formal action during the event; remarks focused on the site's features, the length of the planning process and appreciation for partners. Attendees were invited to enjoy the new trails and natural areas following the remarks.
