Selectboard accepts updated perambulation report for Hampstead–Kingston boundary

After a presentation by Jim Wilkinson, the Hampstead Selectboard unanimously accepted an updated perambulation report that documents boundary monument locations with deed plans, latitude/longitude, bearings and photos; Kingston will be asked to file the report with the Secretary of State.
The Hampstead Selectboard voted unanimously June 8 to accept an updated perambulation report documenting town boundary monuments with Kingston.
Jim Wilkinson presented the report and described the revised format, which updates older rod-based records with deed plan references, latitude/longitude coordinates, bearing and distance details, descriptive notes and photographs showing marker identifications and monument IDs. Wilkinson said the revised format places the same information in a clearer, standardized form and noted he has completed similar perambulations with neighboring towns, including Atkinson, and is working on Danville and Plaistow.
Selectman Morse moved to accept the Perambulation Report between Hampstead and Kingston; Selectman Guthrie seconded. The motion passed with all in favor. Kingston, as the older community, will file the accepted report with the Secretary of State’s office.
Wilkinson encouraged continuing the updated reporting format for remaining adjacent towns; he said some issues with Plaistow require additional research before completion.
