Glassport council authorizes financing steps for police renovation, approves $317,543 in June bills

The council also authorized MBM to file petitions seeking tax-exempt status for the new Municipal Complex, the Senior Center, the Patterson property and the Police Station, a procedural step intended to reduce operating costs if exemptions are granted.
Borough Manager Elaina Skiba had the council ratify advertising for the 2023 borough audit, which the borough reported had no audit findings. Treasurer Elaina Skiba presented monthly financial reports, which council approved.
Council approved paying General Fund bills for June totaling $317,543.68 and Sewer Revenue Fund bills of $48,798.46. All votes recorded during the meeting were unanimous (6-0).
