College Corner council rescinds RITA tax, approves emergency ordinance and hires two part‑time maintenance workers

The Village of College Corner Council met Aug. 8 and unanimously rescinded the village’s RITA tax, approved an emergency ordinance that directs ODOT to install signs, and completed several personnel and contract actions.
Council member Ann McCoy moved to rescind the RITA tax; Council member Danyell Bolser seconded and the motion passed 4–0. Mayor Molly Cason said she would “see about getting it canceled,” and the clerk was assigned to follow up on the administrative steps required to effect the change.
