Richland board approves routine reports, advertises dehumidifier bids, and hires two water employees

Motions accepted unanimously included approval of the Supervisor's report for February 2026, acceptance of Judge Twichell's justice report, approval of Abstract #5 for payment, acceptance of the Town Clerk's report, and approval of the April 14, 2026 Town Board minutes. The Comprehensive Planning Board’s request to pay former Chairwoman Dawn Holynski $200 to transcribe Comp Plan revisions was also approved.
Buildings and Grounds reported repaired softball fields; the Board voted to advertise for bids for a dehumidifier at the Haldane Center (motion by Councilwoman Donna Gilson, seconded by Councilwoman Sue Haynes). The Board praised seasonal worker Richard Fox for cemetery upkeep.
Following a closed executive session on an attorney–client matter, the Board voted to hire Forest "Jim" Hall as a seasonal Water Mechanic at $21.00 per hour and to hire Cindy Paro as Water Clerk at $19.00 per hour. The motions were made and seconded in open session and recorded as unanimous 'AYE' votes.
All roll-call votes recorded at the meeting were unanimous among the five board members present (Supervisor Robert North; Council members Donna Gilson, Larry Atkinson, Sue Haynes and Eric Pappa). The meeting adjourned at 7:32 p.m.; the next board meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
