Plain City Council approves amended agenda and minutes; holds first readings on annexation and speed-limit change

Plain City Council approved routine meeting housekeeping and held first readings on two new-business items during the Nov. 11 meeting.
Council voted to approve the meeting agenda as amended — which added a Council President report item and reordered the PUD vote — on a motion by Council President M. Terry, seconded by Council Member J. Sintz. The council also approved the Oct. 28, 2024 minutes (motion by Terry; second by Council Member A. Lewis). Both motions passed with all present voting in favor.
Under new business, council held a first reading of Ordinance 25-2024, accepting an annexation petition for approximately 331.267 +/- acres from Jerome Township, Union County, into the Village of Plain City. Council also heard a first reading of Resolution 52-2024, which would amend the posted speed limit on Plain City Georgesville Road to 25 miles per hour. Neither item received final action at the Nov. 11 meeting.
Mr. Terry moved to adjourn at 7:09 p.m.; Mr. Sintz seconded. The motion passed and the meeting adjourned.
