Fire marshal: inspections about 80% complete; deputy aims for full compliance by fiscal year-end

Deputy Fire Marshal Bill Call reported to the Bolton Fire Commission on Oct. 26 that inspections are roughly 80% complete and that he is on schedule to reach 100% compliance by the end of the fiscal year.
Bill Call said residential-dwelling inspections are underway, and he expects the second round of apartment-unit inspections to be completed by the end of November. He reported that most violations identified to date have been minor. Fire Marshal James Rupert noted he responded to a car fire on Birch Mountain Road during the reporting period.
Staff completed a Comcast inspection, and work is in progress to compile a contact list from the inspections that will include names, phone numbers and email addresses. Jim Butrymovich assisted with inspections of Bolton Center, Bolton High School and town buildings, the minutes state. Deputy Fire Marshal Call is working more frequently from Bolton Town Hall as part of inspection operations.
