The NorthlakeTown Council unanimously approved a site plan on June 11 for an industrial warehouse development by Trammell Crow Company on roughly 25 acres west of Northwest Regional Airport.
Nathan, a town staff presenter, explained that the property sits in a mixed-use planned development that requires site-plan review as part of zoning. The proposed building is just under 250,000 square feet and includes 129 car parking spaces and 48 trailer spaces; staff recommended approval with a condition that elements not included in the submission — such as final building elevations, signage and lighting — must meet the Unified Development Code at permitting.
A public commenter urged council to consider parking impacts, citing nearby warehouses that experienced parking overflow during shift changes. A Trammell Crow representative told council the plan includes areas reserved for future parking expansion if building users require additional spaces.
Council moved, seconded and voted to approve the site plan unanimously. Staff will require that missing elements comply with UDC standards during the permit review process.
