In project news, staff reported the next phase of the Ninja Path (pedestrian improvements between the pedestrian bridge and the Hampton Inn) received favorable bids below estimate, allowing the town to restore the originally planned scope. Construction could begin as early as July, though a prefabricated bridge element that spans a drainage way may not be available until next spring; the contractor will provide temporary access around the existing wooden bridge while the fabricated element is completed.
Board members asked staff to continue updating the public on schedules and funding implications; staff said remaining grant and local match funds are being reviewed to determine what additional work can be completed this construction season.
