The Town of Red Hook Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee confirmed planning steps for Workshop #2 at its March 24 meeting and added an extra meeting on April 7 to advance logistics.
Staff described Workshop #2 as an expo-style event intended to increase flexibility and accessibility: stations for topic areas, drop-in participation so attendees can stay for as long as they wish, and hands-on activities different from the earlier workshop. The committee identified the likely location as the Red Hook high school or middle school (cafeteria or gym) and targeted mid–late May before Memorial Day for the event.
Outreach will include tabling at community events such as Hardscrabble Day and Apple Blossom Day and pop-up boards at community locations; staff also flagged coordination with advisory committees (Ag & Open Space, CAC, Housing Committee) and local groups such as the Chamber of Commerce.
An extra steering committee meeting on April 7 (7:30–9:00 p.m.) was added specifically to advance Workshop #2 planning; the April 28 meeting will continue plan element discussions and Workshop #2 follow-up.
