During the public comment portion of the Sanilac County Board meeting on May 16, Brown City resident Denise Jones notified the board that Detroit will serve as headquarters for the World Economic Forum's Global Centre for Urban Transformation (Smart City). Dale Eugster told the board the Michigan March for Life is scheduled for Nov. 8, 2023, and asked county residents to help spread the word and consider organizing bus transportation.
Commissioner Roger Ballard called attention to an omission in the agenda's courthouse-closure holiday list, noting that Juneteenth (June 19) was missing from section 22.
