S. Oo noted the board released a webinar and newsletter on AB 1503 and that approximately "355 individuals have completed this training since its release." Members discussed continuing‑education FAQs and sought clarifications and presentation edits: several members recommended moving footnote content into the main answer, adding a specific explanation of the four statutory elements that define a cultural‑competency course under BPC §4231, reorganizing FAQs so requirements appear first and renewal mechanics follow, and adding hyperlinks to cited statutes and board resources. Member Jesse volunteered to work with staff to reorganize and improve clarity.
Staff reported that several repeal and conforming packages originally considered for streamlined Section 100 treatment must proceed through formal rulemaking after Office of Administrative Law review; staff are preparing rulemaking packages in light of OAL's determinations. The committee asked staff to return with clean FAQ language and the revised implementation schedule for full‑board consideration.
