Council approves simple subdivision to create VA building lot in original townsite
Summary
The council authorized the mayor to sign the final plat for a simple subdivision of Lot 2, Block 5 (Original Townsite of Afton) submitted by the Von S. Titensor Revocable Trust to create a 0.76-acre lot for a VA building; the Afton Planning & Zoning Board had approved the subdivision.
Surveyor Marlowe Scherbel presented a simple-subdivision application on behalf of the Von S. Titensor Revocable Trust to split Lot 2 of Block 5 in the original Afton townsite so a separate lot could be created for a proposed VA building.
Sch erbel told the council the proposed new Lot 2 would be 0.76 acres and the remaining parcel would be 1.74 acres. He said the Afton Planning & Zoning Board had approved the simple subdivision as presented. The council voted to authorize Mayor Joel Neuenschwander to sign the final plat.
The motion to authorize the mayor to sign the final plat carried unanimously.
The subdivision paperwork will be filed with Lincoln County following mayoral signature and any required county recording procedures.
