Superintendent reports construction progress, gifts and an FBI safety exercise at Hubble Middle School

Dr. Schuler said weekly construction videos and written progress reports are posted on the district website for the three middle-school projects and asked the community to avoid entering active construction sites, noting there are more than 100 contractors working at each location on some days. He said additional fencing and signage are being installed at Monroe to discourage people from walking through active work zones.
He reported the board has accepted just over $434,000 in gifts over the past 12 months, primarily from PTAs, booster organizations and private donors, and he thanked staff and community partners. Dr. Schuler also announced the district completed a required compliance review (about 250 items) and submitted it to the regional office of education.
On safety planning, Dr. Schuler said the FBI will conduct a multi-agency safety exercise at Hubble Middle School next Tuesday, including helicopter training exercises, in partnership with the Warrenville Police Department; the district will communicate the exercise in advance to nearby residents.
He closed with Five Essentials data showing green ratings across the five areas and noted the district's continued focus on learning acceleration, curriculum work, and expanding career-connected learning and dual-credit opportunities.
