Litchfield board unanimously approves Bridget Stockwell as assistant superintendent of programs and instruction

The Litchfield Elementary District governing board voted unanimously on June 10 to appoint Bridget Stockwell as assistant superintendent of programs and instruction.

Dr. Davidson told the board the search process considered 18 candidates, invited 10 to submit introductory videos and in-basket activities, interviewed four candidates and advanced two finalists to a second round; he recommended Stockwell for the post. "I am pleased to bring forward for your consideration, Miss Bridget Stockwell," Dr. Davidson said, noting Stockwell attended the meeting with family and community supporters.

Board members offered brief endorsements before the vote. "I've heard very good things from the interview process," said Miss Moran. Mr. Mike said he was "excited to see the experience you'll bring to the district," and Mr. Owens added, "you have big shoes to fill." After Mr. Mike moved to approve the appointment and Miss Moran seconded, the five board members present voted yes and the motion passed.

The board invited Stockwell for a group photo following the vote and the president welcomed her to the "Litchfield family." The appointment will be reflected in district personnel records and Stockwell is expected to assume duties as assistant superintendent for programs and instruction following standard onboarding procedures.

The appointment was taken as a formal action item on the board agenda; the motion carried on a unanimous vote of the voting members in attendance.
