The village engineer presented three bids that came in well below the engineer’s estimate of $38,600. Council was told the county will reimburse $9,300 for part of the work, which reduces the village’s net cost to roughly $15,000. The engineer and councilors characterized the low bids as competitive and noted that American Roadway Logistics has worked in other nearby communities; it may be the first time the company has worked inside Moreland Hills.
Council approved the contract by roll call. Staff were directed to coordinate implementation and confirm prior contractor experience and scheduling so work proceeds promptly.
