The Woolwich Township Committee adopted a consent agenda covering resolutions R-2024-171 through R-2024-183 with the exception of R-2024-180, which was removed for separate consideration and later tabled. Items approved on consent include a commodity resale agreement with the Swedesboro-Woolwich Board of Education for fuel (R-2024-171); endorsement of a statement of consent for Villages II (R-2024-172); totally disabled veteran deductions (R-2024-173 and R-2024-174); a shared services agreement with the Swedesboro-Woolwich School District for provision of special officers during the 2024–25 school year (R-2024-175); authorization for the tax collector to transfer or refund overpayments (R-2024-176); professional services appointment for a stormwater management consultant not to exceed $6,800 (R-2024-177); and approval to submit grant applications to the New Jersey Department of Transportation for improvements to the Center Square Road bike lane and Garwin Road Phase II (R-2024-178 and R-2024-179).
The committee also authorized award of bid to Command Company, Inc. for emergency repair work on Moravian Church Road (R-2024-181), approved refund of permit fees (R-2024-182), and made an appointment to the Swedesboro-Woolwich Joint Environmental Commission (R-2024-183). The minutes list these resolutions by number and title; motions for the consent agenda were made by Committeeman McGovern and seconded by Committeeman Frederick, and the consent agenda passed.
Following closed session, the committee returned and voted to make an offer of employment to Mackenzie Moore for the position of Deputy Clerk; that motion passed on a 4–0 roll call. The committee also approved the June 17, 2024 regular meeting minutes and approved purchase orders, noting an abstention from Frederick on Verizon bills. The meeting adjourned at 8:43 p.m.
