The Village of Anna council voted on Aug. 27 to schedule a public meeting on Oct. 1 at 5:45 p.m. to discuss proposed zoning updates.
Councilor Ken Aselage moved to set the meeting; Randy Van Horn seconded and the motion passed on roll call with all members recorded as voting in favor. The stated topics for the public meeting are zoning changes related to medical marijuana, solar energy and agricultural animals.
Council also reviewed related old-business items during the same agenda item. Staff reported unresolved correction work on properties completed by Jagger Construction, ongoing CDBG application status at the state level, and a range of park- and infrastructure-related updates that council members said will be considered alongside zoning topics as appropriate.
The Oct. 1 meeting was set as a public forum for residents to review and comment on proposed zoning language; the council did not take final action on the zoning changes at the Aug. 27 meeting.
