Anna council adopts deed-restriction resolution and accepts 5,000 shares of US Bank stock

On a roll-call vote recorded as all yeas, council adopted Resolution 24-948, a third-reading measure accepting a deed restriction related to construction within a known isolation easement on Lot 619 at 121 Shue Drive. Council then voted to suspend the rules and adopt Resolution 24-949, declaring an emergency to accept a donation of 5,000 shares of US Bank stock on behalf of the Village. Both measures passed without recorded opposition.
Procedural business earlier in the meeting included a motion to waive the reading of the Aug. 13 minutes and then a separate motion to approve those minutes; both motions passed on roll call. The council also approved an amended agenda.
Fiscal Officer Stacy Meyer told council the village has begun account setup with US Bank to receive the donated stock and is coordinating a transition to F&M Bank for treasury management work. No additional details about the donor or the intended use of the stock were provided during the meeting.
The meeting record shows the first reading of Resolution 24-950, a separate measure to accept amounts and rates determined by the budget commission and certify them to the county auditor, was presented but not acted on.
