Bayside architectural panel approves four residential fence projects

The committee began the meeting by approving the April 21, 2025 minutes on a motion by Trustee Liaison Ben Minkin, seconded by Committee Member Jeffrey Harrington. The motion carried unanimously.
At 1150 East Standish Place, homeowner Hiwot Abebe and Kevin Severs presented plans for 110 lineal feet of open horizontal cedar fence along the west side of the property. Abebe said the southern end of the fence aligns with the home’s farthest protrusion and that the wood will be left to weather naturally. Trustee Liaison Ben Minkin moved to approve and Committee Member Marisa Roberts seconded; the committee voted unanimously to approve the project.
At 840 East Standish Place, homeowner Al Balda described a 185-lineal-foot fence composed of black iron railing with cedar posts and three gates—one facing Greenvale Road, one toward the western neighbor and one facing Standish Place. Committee Member Jeffrey Harrington moved to approve; Trustee Liaison Ben Minkin seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
At 9068 North Rexleigh Drive, Joel and Shari Berman proposed 215 lineal feet of cedar fence running along the backyard and connecting to the neighbor’s fence. Joel Berman clarified that the panels will be five feet high (not four) and that gates will be four and six feet wide and five feet high. Trustee Liaison Ben Minkin moved to approve the five-foot fence and the gates as described; Committee Member Christine Duback seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
At 9516 North Wakefield Court, homeowner Diane Braza proposed 114 lineal feet of four-foot-high black aluminum fence to connect with neighboring fences on the northwest and east sides of her property. Chairperson Krampf moved to approve and Committee Member Marisa Roberts seconded; the committee approved the project unanimously.
