Engineer updates council on booster generator, north sewer line and wastewater analysis

Sunrise Engineering updated the council on the East Booster Generator submittals, progress on negotiating easements and routing for the North Sewer Line Project, and ongoing wastewater facility flow monitoring and lagoon equipment assessment.
Kade Smith of Sunrise Engineering provided three updates to the council. On the East Booster Generator, submittals had been received and reviewed; one clarification about the generator remained and concrete work is expected to begin after final approvals.
On the North Sewer Line Project, Smith said he has been coordinating with landowners and town staff to secure easements and discussed the planned road crossing near storage buildings; Mayor Simpson asked that the line be routed to hug the road in some areas to accommodate planned building locations.
Regarding the Wastewater Facility Plan, the flow meter remains in place through at least the end of August as engineers analyze current flows against 2022 data, and lagoon equipment was assessed during a recent visit to evaluate system health and longevity.
