Thayne council appoints Justin Visser to fill vacated seat
Summary

Mayor Simpson opened the Aug. 20 meeting by announcing that Councilmember Annie Wright had resigned after moving out of town. He and Councilmember Heward moved to accept the resignation and to appoint Justin Visser to fill the remainder of the term. The motion carried unanimously.
Justin Visser was sworn in at the meeting. The council did not indicate any further changes to committee assignments at the time.
The appointment concluded the council’s personnel business for the evening; the council then proceeded to other agenda items.
