Torrington adopts two zoning-map amendments on second reading

Attorney James Eddington read two zoning ordinances by title during the Jan. 6 Torrington City Council meeting and both were adopted on second reading.
The first ordinance amended Section 18.16.020 of the Torrington Municipal Code to establish C-1A zoning for a tract to be known as the Family Dentistry P.C. Subdivision. Councilman Wayne Deahl moved approval on second reading and Councilman Dennis Kelly seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The second ordinance amended the zoning map to establish R-3 zoning for the Hattan Subdivision. Councilman Dennis Kelly moved approval on second reading and Councilman Viktorin seconded; the motion also passed unanimously.
Attorney Eddington read both measures by title; the meeting record does not include substantive debate or conditions attached to either adoption. The ordinances will be recorded and the city’s zoning map updated per normal planning procedures.
