The Manitou Springs City Council approved a hotel and restaurant liquor license for Mahana Khan LLC, doing business as Manitu Thai & Ramen, at 819 Manitu Avenue on April 21.
City staff presented the licensing report noting a completed application, a clear background check for the applicant, and no public opposition recorded in the clerk’s office. The premises previously held a beer and wine license and the applicant operates another licensed location in Conifer with no known issues.
Applicant Sying Fox told the council she fell in love with Manitou Springs after moving to Colorado and described plans to add Asian cuisine options to the local dining scene. No members of the public spoke against the application at the hearing. Councilors moved, seconded and voted unanimously to grant the license.
The council acted in its role as the local liquor licensing authority and directed staff to finalize the license paperwork.
