City previews new property-data site; live demo shows chat, maps and tax-pay features

City staff gave council an early demonstration of a new property-data platform the city is piloting with City of Vanguard. The presenter said the beta is available to council and staff and that the public launch is expected by June 30.
Jamie Christensen, president of City of Vanguard, demonstrated the site’s chat, map and table modes, showing how users can type an address, view a property card with assessment, improvements, sales history and export a PDF. "We're a mapping and software company based out of Richmond, Virginia," Christensen said during the demonstration, and he highlighted integrations with EagleView oblique imagery and Google street/3D views.
The demo showed a chat-driven query that returned properties sold last spring (Christensen noted the example returned 212 properties), neighborhood proximity queries (parcels within a set distance), and an option to display elevation or other parcel metadata useful for planning and emergency response. Staff said the site also provides a direct link to real-estate-tax information and a mechanism to pay taxes online.
Council members were offered a link in their meeting packet to test the beta and staff said there will be a feedback form and ticketing workflow during the first month of public rollout; staff expect initial bugs to be addressed by the end of July.
