The Gulf Shores City Council suspended the rules for immediate consideration and adopted Ordinance No. 2215 on May 26, granting nonexclusive taxi franchises to One Love Shuttle and Royal Limousine, LLC.
The ordinance authorizes the mayor and city clerk to execute franchise agreements setting forth the terms, requirements and covenants for taxi operations in the City. It requires that any future additional vehicles or drivers be approved by the Revenue Division. The ordinance took effect upon adoption.
The action was unanimous. The City clerk will retain the franchise agreements as public documents once executed.
