Cridersville reports new water booster pump, meter installs and plans to address Village Café leak

At the Committee of the Whole report, Joe Bailey said the village received a new water booster pump and valves for the water plant that were installed by Global Electric. "We received our new water booster pump and valves," Bailey stated. Village crews and Dotson's Plumbing and Heating have installed water meters in several facilities that previously lacked them to meet an Ohio EPA request to track all water usage.
Village Administrator Jarid Kohlrieser and Solicitor James Hearn are evaluating options the village can use to enforce or manage the water leak issue at the Village Café; Bailey said the village anticipates being able to start taking some action within the next few weeks. Council Member Steve Numbers also said the administrator continues to explore options to acquire land for a potential new water well project.
The minutes do not specify the technical cause of the Village Café leak, the party responsible, or the enforcement tools under consideration; council indicated follow-up action will be forthcoming in subsequent meetings.
