The presenter said the districtLighting the Way strategic plan entered its second year of implementation, describing 2030 year two as focused on "transforming ideas into action" and creating environments where students feel "safe, valued, empowered and loved."
The presenter highlighted program expansion in career-connected learning, language education, the arts and technology, and said the district strengthened family and community partnerships through school governance councils and expanded engagement efforts. The presenter also said the district continued development of its family and community resource center and "broke ground on our new K8 school on the east side."
The presenter urged community members to register for summer enrichment programs and the upcoming 20262027 academic year, and closed by wishing listeners a restorative summer and saying the district looks forward to welcoming everyone back.
