Oak Park committee updates $25,000 RSRPD contribution recommendation to fund free Kanan Shuttle

Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council members were briefed on June 24 about a recommendation from the Oak Park Parks and Recreation Planning Committee that the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District contribute $25,000 toward the Kanan Shuttle.
According to the update, the RSRPD contribution, combined with a contribution from County Service Area (CSA) #4 and a match from the Oak Park Unified School District (OPUSD), would enable the shuttle to operate as a free service for the community. The item was presented as an information update; the MAC did not take a formal funding action but noted the committee recommendation.
The MAC will review the resident-requested red curb item on Medea Creek Lane at its July meeting per members’ agreement to place that communication on the next agenda.
