Clerk of Council Stanislav Beresford presented two related resolutions at first reading to change the proposed location of the veterans memorial from Community Park to the Municipal Complex at Trenton Square and to amend Resolution No. 13-2025 to move the associated static display to the municipal complex if Council agrees to the change.
Beresford said prior Council discussion had considered relocating the memorial to align with the new municipal building. Vice Mayor Croucher asked City Manager Marcos Nichols to explore what would be involved in extending electrical service to the proposed memorial site while the municipal building is under construction so the work could be completed concurrently rather than retrofitted later.
