Plain City Council approves public-safety ordinance, dog-park contract and committee appointments

Plain City Council on Feb. 10 unanimously approved a second-reading amendment to the village general-offenses code, awarded a contract for the Plain City Dog Park project and confirmed multiple committee appointments.
The council approved Ordinance 04-2025, which amends Chapter 525 of the Codified Ordinances (Law Enforcement and Public Office). The motion to approve was made by A. Lewis and seconded by K. Ferguson; the vote was recorded as unanimous.
Council also approved Resolution 07-2025, authorizing Village Administrator Haley Lupton to award the Plain City Dog Park project contract to Vititoe Construction Inc. (motion by J. Eudaily, second by K. Ferguson). The resolution passed by unanimous voice vote.
In personnel actions, council appointed Brad Hehmeyer to the Parks and Recreation Committee for a term ending Dec. 31, 2028 (motion by M. Terry, second by A. Lewis) and reappointed Carrie McGlaughlin and Kari Hehmeyer to the Board of the Mid-Ohio Water and Sewer District for two-year terms (motions by M. Terry; seconds as recorded). All three motions passed unanimously.
