CCRPC cancels annual meeting gathering, plans Hinesburg webinar pilot; CATMA sublease discussed

At the May 6 meeting CCRPC staff and members agreed to cancel the usual annual meeting gathering and dinner for 2020, will pilot a CCRPC-hosted public meeting/webinar in Hinesburg, and discussed a CATMA request to sub-lease office space that currently houses 2.5 employees and pays $1,500 a month.
Charlie Baker, CCRPC executive director, used the Chair/Executive Director's report to notify members of several procedural and operational items at the May 6 remote meeting.
Annual meeting: Baker said officers will be elected at the June Annual Board meeting and proposed postponing the usual June gathering until September. Treasurer John Zicconi suggested potentially forgoing the gathering entirely given COVID-19 uncertainties; members agreed to cancel this year's annual meeting dinner and continue with regular Board meetings.
Public meetings: Baker said staff are working with municipalities on approaches for public meetings; some towns are adapting well to technology while others hope to meet in person. Eleni Churchill, transportation program manager, said CCRPC may pilot a CCRPC-hosted public meeting and webinar in Hinesburg in the next few weeks and will report back to members on the outcome.
CATMA sub-lease: Baker said Sandy Thibault, CATMA's executive director, inquired about sub-leasing a portion of CCRPC office space; Baker said CATMA currently pays $1,500.00 per month and has 2.5 employees. Members discussed whether space should be retained for CWSP contracts and the timing of any sub-lease.
Next steps: Staff will update the Board agenda for the May 20 meeting and report on any pilot public meetings and the CATMA sub-lease discussion as details develop.
