Opioid Abatement Authority staff recommend about $51 million in city and county awards for FY27

Staff said 150 applications will be tracked beginning July 1 and reiterated that individual distributions are treated as entitlement-style awards if the locality meets program requirements.
Next steps: the staff presentation was informational only; the formal grants committee will meet June 15 to consider final approvals. Staff reminded applicants that individual-distribution denials may be appealed: applicants can submit additional materials for staff review and can present their appeal to the full board; competitive cooperative awards and operation-stop awards do not have an appeal route.
