Holliston School Committee elects Frank as chair, reorganizes subcommittees and endorses MSBA appointees

The Holliston School Committee completed its annual reorganization at the meeting, appointing Frank as chair and Don as vice chair by voice vote. Frank accepted the nomination and will preside over reorganization logistics until new members are seated in July.
Committee members then appointed subcommittee memberships and chairs for budget, policy, superintendent evaluation, communications, negotiations and other liaisons. Several members said they would re-evaluate subcommittee assignments once two incoming members are seated in July.
After public statements from MSBA school-building committee candidates, the school committee deliberated and voted to recommend architect and K–12 MSBA veteran Andrew Canine as the primary school-committee appointee and long-time resident Lynn Hoffman Bratuchi as a second appointee. The committee also voted to recommend Jamie Kon(e) as a non-voting participant (the select board must confirm all formal appointments). Members emphasized that the MSBA liaison role will require multi-year commitment and frequent community outreach during feasibility and design phases.
The committee closed business by agreeing to meet with the select board to finalize MSBA appointments and to schedule candidate statements and deliberations in late June.
