Mayor Jakubowski outlines Earth Day events and county-sponsored transportation for Audubon Day

Mayor Jakubowski used the April 18 meeting to outline Earth Day activities organized with the Library and Sustainable Audubon and to promote Audubon Day on April 29, 2023.
He said the week’s events include a screening of The Lorax at the Senior Center, a Monarch butterfly presentation on Thursday, and planting of flowers at the Sustainable Shed in Audubon Family Park. The mayor praised volunteers who have prepared for Audubon Day, saying he “cannot thank those volunteers enough.”
Jakubowski also announced that Camden County and the Camden County Commissioners will provide transportation for residents on Audubon Day. Residents can park at the Municipal Building and ride a county-provided bus to the recreation center; the shuttle will run every half hour from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the minutes say. The mayor encouraged residents to attend and thanked volunteers for their work.
